My perfect white cotton summer dress
With the weather being so beautiful recently, my Summer wardrobe was missing a few key times. One items I have been lusting after is a white cotton dress. A good summer dress should flatter, be super comfy and it looks good whatever the occasion.
I love wearing white in summer as it looks super fresh and crips. And if I can avoid spilling anything on myself) it can take me from day to night. And cotton is the best fabric for sunny days too.
This floaty dress which I’m wearing above is from local Hove boutique called Velvet Store. It’s tiered with pretty puff sleeves and it is a flattering shape.

It’s so easy to pull on in the mornings. I’ve worn it to work, on location and when pottering around around town and it always gets lots of complements. I was a little unsure of the shape at first as it so voluminous. But after lock down I needed a white cotton summer dress that was a little more *ehem* forgiving. The best bit? It has POCKETS!!! When it comes to styling your white dress, try a pair of silver earrings and wedges for the evening. Or for the day tie a vintage scarf in your hair (perfect for keeping frizzy under control) and animal print sandals.
